The Derby Swim Club provides an opportunity for children of the Derby area community to participate in a competitive swimming program during the summer months. Swim practice with a coach is provided during the winter months.

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT:

Dear Dolphin Parents,

What a SIZZLIN' start to our summer competitive season. We are still undefeated after four meets, despite the weather challenges we have had. This has been a summer of transition in many ways, and you have all been key in making our swim meets a success.

Thanks so much for volunteering in the various meet personnel positions needed to run our meets. It really takes a small army, and you have answered the call!

We have one more home meet - let's make it the best yet! Coach Amy and Coach Courtney have done an awesome job with our team. Our team has grown by approximately 30 swimmers this summer, and they have done a great job getting to know the individual swimmers and their ability. We'll continue to keep you posted on updates and events as we begin to wind down our season over the next few weeks. Go Dolphins!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Please notify Coach Amy (via phone or e-mail) no later than July 8th for swimmers unable to compete in our League Championships to be held at Haysville on July 17 & 18. Meet entries for League Finals are due by July 10th, and DSC pays entry fees for all swimmers. We need confirmation, so the appropriate amount of fees are paid. Unanticipated illness and family emergencies can occur and result in late notification; however, simply a "no show" this late in the season negatively impacts the team - especially with our relays.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

There will not be practice on July 3rd in observance of Independence day.
